About Us:

Church on the Rock is a multi-generational, multi-ethnic, family-centered church that loves our Lord and His people. We celebrate each person’s unique contribution to the Body of Christ and seek to develop each person’s gifts, talents and skills so they can be fully utilized to build up the church. The best way to find out who we are is to experience our community in person on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. In the meantime, please read our vision, strategy, goal and summary of beliefs. We look forward to worshiping with you!

Our Vision:

We make disciples.

At Church on the Rock, our goal is to encourage every person to become a fully developing and reproducing disciple of Jesus Christ. Whether you are merely curious about Jesus Christ or have been following Him for many years, we believe Christ always has a next step for you.

Our Strategy:

Equipping members to become fully devoted disciple-makers

We seek to accomplish this in the following three ways:
We believe the most important decision in life comes through responding to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Church on the Rock also places a high value on building relational bridges with God and others. We believe we must continually seek ways to connect with each other and the unchurched in our community.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).
We want to intentionally grow in Christ-likeness and be more and more like Him in every area of our lives. It is our desire for everyone to take the next step in their own spiritual journey. Our Sunday services are filled with meaningful worship and teaching that is both challenging and relevant to everyday life. Our Discipleship University and Life Groups provide opportunities where real, life-enriching relationships are formed and developed. We believe that in order for Church on the Rock to be a healthy reflection of what Christ intended His church to be, we must continue to grow, walk by faith in the power of the Holy Spirit and give the Lord first-place in all things.
“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving” (Colossians 2:6-7).
“and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2:2).
We believe one of the greatest reflections of growing in Christlikeness is that of service. In order for Church on the Rock to be the community of believers God calls His church to be, each of us must willingly embrace the wonderful privilege of serving and discipling others just as Jesus did.
“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus” (Phil.2:4-5).
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”  (Gal. 5:13-14).

Our Goal:

To encourage every person to become a fully developing

and reproducing disciple of Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith

We at Church on the Rock firmly believe the doctrines of historic Christianity as they are revealed in the Bible. Our statement of faith is summarized briefly for you here.
We believe the entire Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. It is the final and sole authority for all Christian life and practice.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son. We believe in His preexistence, His incarnation, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, His bodily resurrection from the grave, and His personal return from heaven.
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, sinned in Adam and are now sinners by nature and by choice.
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, apart from human merit, works, or ceremonies.
We believe the church is a spiritual body with Christ at the head, both eternally and functionally.
We believe in the resurrection of the human body, the eternal existence of all humanity either in heaven or hell, and in divine judgments and rewards.
